Smart Chip: Nail Chip Payment Method
The nail chip developed by Smart Chip AG enables, among other uses, contactless payments via integrated NFC technology. The chip is designed to be compatible with common contactless payment systems and can be used in the same way as a physical bank card or a digital wallet by briefly holding it near a reader. In addition to payment, the nail chip can also be used for other applications, including access control, identification and authentication processes, event ticketing, and use as a digital key or as a carrier medium for individual user identifiers. The chip is attached to a prepared natural fingernail in a nail studio and sealed with nail gel. Once the nail has grown out, the chip must be replaced. (oro)
